What are the four key qualities you need to have a successful real estate career?
4. Be hungry and ambitious. Did you know that 90% of all agents are out of the business within two years? This is a high failure rate. The entry into real estate is easy, but the success rate is low, so you need to be hungry and ambitious if you want to push yourself toward success.
3. Have a great work ethic. This isn’t a 9-to-5 job—it’s 24/7. You never know when your clients will need you, so if you’re looking for flexible work or you’d rather not be bothered on your day off, then this probably isn’t the right career for you.
2. Be coachable. You need to be willing to learn from those who are experienced and be accountable to them. The key to success is having someone who’s willing to coach, mentor, and hold you accountable. This requires you to be able to handle constructive criticism and know how to apply it.

1. Have a positive mindset. Again, this is a challenging business with a lot of emotional ups and downs. You’ll fail more than you succeed, but if you have a positive mindset, you can battle through it and have a successful career.
Imagine being a Tesla car with a Yugo engine—you may look like a Tesla, but you’ll only go as far as the Yugo engine takes you. This is why it’s critical that you cultivate all four of these qualities. By doing so, you’ll have a successful real estate career.
