Declan, just like for many millennials, buying a home was an idea that regularly crossed his mind but no plan of execution was clearly defined. He had recently relocated to Seattle from the Bay Area to work at Amazon so he knew he was going to be around for a while. 

Late last summer, Maynard and Declan happened to meet at a Capitol Hill restaurant and bar and struck up a conversation. Inevitably the topic of real estate came up and Maynard learned that Declan had been thinking of someday buying a home.
