1. The west-facing view never gets old! We’ve enjoyed looking at the sunsets, the Olympic mountain range, the incoming weather, and the comings and goings of Magnolia.
2. The open floor plan of the kitchen and living room is great for entertaining family and friends. The deck is a natural outdoor extension of the space, where we’ve enjoyed hosting BBQs and having our morning cup of coffee.
3. The quiet of the radiant heat was something that has surprised and delighted us.
4. The outdoor space has it all. We’ll miss gathering by the Paloform fire bowl, climbing on the rock wall, or just resting under the shade of the Japanese maple tree while enjoying the territorial view of them through a lot. The front lawn is great for a game of bocce ball or just catching some morning sun.
5. We’ve spent countless hours exploring Queen Anne. We love our walks to Macrina Bakery and Ken’s market and taking the kids to the Soundview playground up the street. Our running route includes Kerry Park, where you can admire the Space Needle and Mt Rainier while dodging tourists. The top of the hill has lots to enjoy - the Queen Anne Bookstore, Bounty Kitchen, Molly Moon’s, Oaxaca, Hill Top, and Cafe Ladro are a few of our favorite go-to spots.
6. The location is unbeatable - a quiet neighborhood in the heart of Seattle. Our commutes downtown via bike, bus, or car have been too easy and are something we will definitely miss.
7. We have private, separate spaces in the house, but we love how the central staircase connects it all and makes for an easy flow.
8. The fireplaces create a coziness: we’ve roasted s’mores over the wood-burning fireplace and enjoy movie nights next to the gas fireplace.
9. The garage access is easy and has been a great place for all of our gear. On-street parking for ourselves and visitors is plentiful.
10. We know we are protected from the Seattle rain with our metal roof!
