📍TOP THINGS OUR CLIENTS LOVE ABOUT THEIR HOME
• This home has such a unique feel to it - it's hard to put into words! It was designed by an architect with such thoughtful attention to detail in every space - you just feel good coming home to it. The clear cedar ceilings and newly refinished hardwood floors radiate warm light in every space to create a comfortable, inviting atmosphere.
• Virgil Flaim Park is right across the street and is a true hidden gem of Seattle! There are frequent park events there, including an Easter Egg Hunt, and it has a small 'skate spot' for kids to ride their boards at.
• We have lived here for over 2 decades and love our neighbors - everyone in the area is so kind and friendly! We made great friends living here and we will miss them dearly.
• This home lives much larger than its square footage might suggest, and has an awesome amount of storage space. Everything always had its place and we never felt cramped.
• All of the gardens surrounding the home create a little slice of paradise in the city. Trees block out a lot of sound so despite being just two blocks from a busy road, you never feel like it. Mature plants and blooms produce waves of color nearly all year long. The entire lot is incredibly private, especially with the new fence surrounding it.
• There are so many great spots within walking distance from here! Our sons loved being close to Dick's Drive-In and we always enjoyed exploring the charming restaurants, coffee shops, and stores along Lake City Way's main neighborhood hub. Our favorite was Elliott Bay Brewery!
• The home has seen a lot of history! It was named the Seattle Times' 'House of the Week' in 1959.
• We loved hosting friends and family for holidays and gatherings in the space. The open flow of the living areas works great for entertaining, and the kitchen bar is the perfect serving space.
• You can spot an impressive amount of wildlife here! We've seen all kinds of birds stop by in the backyard, and have even seen owls, eagles, hawks, and herons pass by the neighborhood.
• The Lake City Farmers Market is a short walk up the street, running every Thursday evening from June through October each year. We loved walking up to explore the vendor booths and find local produce and treats to take home with us. Bonus: it's right next to the library!
• There is nothing more peaceful than relaxing on the back deck on a summer's day. You can listen to the wind rustle in the trees above you as birds sing all around, and Thornton Creek babbles by right below you. You truly don't feel like you're in a bustling city at all!
